To remain competitive you must buy a lot of HEAT shells but that is very expensive and inefficient, only for you to do a tad bit more than an AP shell of the 85mm. There is no AP shell to penetrate spaced armor either. This atrocious penetration only occasionally works against enemy Tier IV tanks (like the Alecto) and the terribly long reload time means you are most likely dead before you can fire your next shot. The 122mm gun's alpha may seem lovely at 400+ at Tier V, but unlike on WoTB's parent game World of Tanks, the 122mm gun's HE shells only have 30mm of penetration, with a reload time of around 20 seconds. Obviously higher caliber guns or HE shells have a better chance to detonate an ammo-rack since they have a higher module damage potential. Now, If a shell causes a tank's ammo-rack to lose it hp it will explode. The 85mm gun is the only way to go for the KV-1. They are different sizes, with different amounts of hp, and are buried at different depths in the tank. Derp gun makes the KV-1 very expensive to use.Derp gun only has 30mm of HE penetration.10 second reload on the top gun without adding the Gun Rammer.Turret can bounce some shots from Tier IV, V, and sometimes even VI.Derp gun does 400 alpha damage if the HE penetrates.Top gun does 200 alpha damage, taking away one third of some tanks' HP.Armor that frequently bounces Tier IV and V shells frontally and if angled.
